10 things I like about myself .....

This is hard... I say that because there are so many things that I dislike about myself ... but ... because my dear friend Angel said I had to do it ... I'll give it a shot ....

1. I like that even under the color, I don't have that much gray hair
2. I love being a mom, its hard work, but I love it!
3. I love that I have caring, supportive parents
4. I love that the pictures I take really seem to impress people, and not just impress them to give me BS responses, I truely believe they like some of my pictures
5. I like that I made the call to St. Alexius New Start - The center for Surgical Weight-Management .... its a start
6. I love that I have so many friends that care enough to make me want to live a healthier life.
7. I love that I care for people ... all people ...
8. I really like that I signed up for the photography class .... it may not be for college credits, but at least its going to college .... set a little example for the boys
9. I'm glad I showed some restraint when Luke came out of the bathroom COVERED in toothpaste ....
10. I like that I have fun bowling even though lately I really stink doing it ......

Soooo .... I feel I'm destined to stay fat .....

I called about getting information on the lapband surgery for weight loss .... I first called my insurance company to see if it would be covered, they said yes, 100% if its medically necessary. So I called the Hospital/Program that my sister told me about (she works there with the surgeons) They tell me that the DR's haven't even been fully trained on that procedure yet and when they get 3 people lined up for it, they will fly someone in to train the surgeons ..... I'm like ok thanks.

UM HELLO ... Do I honestly want someone doing a procedure on me that hasn't got ANY under their belt??????

I'm looking at another hospital/program, their surgeons have hundreds under their belt .... I may get the nerve to call them later after the techs clear out of here .... we'll see .... one day of disappointment a week is really enough for me ...

A day out .....

Today we decided to go to a St. Louis County Park ... Lone Elk Park. Its a park that has quite a bit of wild life, some of which you can get out of your car and take pictures of, some you need to stay in your car and just drive thru .... The Bison area you need to stay in the car and they have it posted that Bison have been known to damage cars .... scarey huh ... We drive thru the first time and see some turkey, my MOM gets OUT of the car to take pictures .... the entire time I'm telling her its NOT a good idea ... anyway, we didn't see any Bison so all was well, but still ... the sign said .... ugggg

Turkey pictures ....

We found some more turkey and got some great shots, then we found the Elk .... some females first ... they were right by the road and apparently they think they own the place since its "named after them" We got some good pictures of the females and they walk behind the car, Austin is watching out the window at them and yells "UM MOM .... Its chasing us" (I'm not even doing 5mph) I look in the mirror and the darn B!tcH KICKS my car!! She walks around the car and my mom continues to take pictures. Mom says to her "Thank you" and she (the elk) just looks at her. My mom says "Did you really kick the car?" and the darn thing comes charging at my mom. She screamed and jumped back practically on my lap. We about died laughing ... that thing was total attitude ... Here's a picture of her .....
