Wow, its been awhile .....

Oops ... Sorry about that, I didn't realize its been a month since I updated anything.... lets see, whats happened .... Well, My New Year's Resolution ... I've lost 7 lbs ... its not much compared to some, but its something in the right direction. Since my scale cries, I've resorted to using my Mom's scale on Sunday Nights .... yes, at night ....

Lets see... what else is going on ... Austin got into the School Spelling Bee ... unfortunately he didn't move forward to the St. Louis Post Dispatch event. He tried ... I'm very proud of him for that ... last year he didn't want to be in front of people and take a chance of spelling something wrong. This year, what a trooper, he did it and even congradulated the winner. :)

Luke is now 22.5 months old ... we are going to start Daycare probably on Monday .... I was going to hold off till mid February, but really feel he needs to go now. The hardest thing for him is going to be that Austin won't be there with him. I think it will be equally hard on Austin. They really do adore each other. Luke needs to be in a more structured environment than he's been in. He needs consistant rules between the children there, he needs the interaction of adults and children. Do I sound like I'm trying to convince myself, no, I'm really not. He needs this for his well being and development.

The hard part for me is leaving the sitter he's at now. She is their cousin and I know she needs the money. But, that really isn't my problem, is it?? I plan to pay her for the 2 weeks that I gave her notice for. Hopefully that'll sufice without any hard feelings or anything. I HATE Confrontation ... I don't handle it well.

What else ... lets see ... One of my best friends left her ex-husband (they've been divorced for probably 23 years, just lived together) thats been interesting since I'm friends with both of them ...

Austin got his report card ... Straight A's (except for Art, he got a B in there)

I've set a date to meet Shelley from PW. We are going to meet up Feb 11! I can't wait! I think Vincent and Luke will have fun together ... or at least I hope they will.

We are planning a trip to Florida over Easter. We're leaving the Wed night before Easter and coming back home the Monday after. Austin is SO excited ... Colorado last year, Florida this year! We're going with some friends of ours and staying with her Mom. Its sooo cool!!

Austin is going to a dog show this weekend with my Mom and one of her friends. Austin is SO excited! Hope he learns a lot there!
