Its been awhile .... so I've been told ;)

lets try this again ....

My friend Lin is having surgery in 2 days. One thing I'm so happy about this time round is that Gary is home and will get to be with her during the surgery .... She certainly won't feel like she's going thru it alone with him there. I hope she knows she's in my thoughts and prayers.

My boys ... I couldn't be more proud of my kids than I am at this very moment ... Austin got straight A's for the 6th year in a row! He's now a Gateway Young Achiever Alumni and was recognized by the School Board as such. I feel like Luke is really excelling in preschool. He seems to really like it there and in the few short months he's been there has started counting to 10 (of course when HE wants to) and he says his ABC's.

My house ... I've been on a little bit of a cleaning kick ... my room is almost presentable now ... I've got quite a bit together for a yard sale.

Remodeling ... I want to re-do my bathroom. I've re-grouted the tiles in the shower about 5-6 times in the last 6 years .... its gotta go .... We found a shower surround and faucets that will only cost about $150. I'm spending my Memorial Weekend tearing out the old tile and possibly dry wall if its shot too. I may have to have shower curtains up for awhile till my Dad can help me install the new stuff, but thats ok ... I can make due, its only temporary, right???

My backyard .... I want to put up a retaining wall and get my fence OUT of the neighbor's yard. (it sits 4 ft into their yard due to the hill that my house sits on) Since we had the other dog the hill has been washing away, he completely tore up the hillside. Anyway, that may be a project that will have to wait awhile ... Dad thinks its going to cost big bucks .... I hope not ...

Anyway, guess thats it for now ....
